August 4, 2014 - DTI Group Signs Multi-year Maintenance Contract with the Dyson Group

DTI Group is pleased to announce the signing of a multi-year maintenance contract for video surveillance systems with the Dyson Group based in Melbourne, Australia. The Dyson Group has been in operation since 1952 and is one of Victoria’s largest bus companies operating more than 420 buses and coaches in metropolitan Melbourne and country Victoria.

Under the agreement, DTI will provide ongoing hardware and software maintenance for an initial 100 bus surveillance systems for three years, plus a further two-year option with the capability to grow as the install base grows with additional systems. The agreement also includes additional services such as help desk support, equipment monitoring, equipment reporting and hardware maintenance. DTI’s management of the diagnostic testing, monitoring and maintenance of the surveillance infrastructure will maximise system availability and convenience to the operators.

The original supply project involved the installation of advanced surveillance systems for both buses and changeover vehicles which commenced with initial deliveries in April 2012. The scope of works also included DTI's GPS-based vehicle location system, wireless data communications infrastructure and fleet management software suite. DTI's wireless infrastructure and back-end CCTV management system centralises and coordinates the bus CCTV network and allows video evidence to be recovered from buses through an online automated CCTV 'booking' system providing significant benefits through the easy management of equipment, video retrieval and video storage.
