September 17, 2012 - DTI Group Signs Multi-Year Contract with Brisbane City Council

DTI Group Limited (DTI) is pleased to announce the signing of a multi-million dollar contract with the Brisbane City Council (BCC) for the supply, installation, and maintenance of advanced video surveillance systems into 307 existing buses and 90 new buses per year for three years as well as the installation of depot infrastructure of up to a further 6 depots. The award includes a standing offer arrangement for the inclusion of further contracts if requested by the BCC.

Each bus will be equipped with DTI's latest Mobile Digital Recorder (MDR-5L) and between eight and ten high resolution colour cameras plus wireless infrastructure. A microphone located in the forward part of the bus is available to capture audio/voice communications.

Under the agreement, DTI will provide ongoing services such as help desk assistance and technical support, equipment monitoring and reporting as well as IT infrastructure support for three years plus options for up to a further 4 years.

The Brisbane City Council project further builds on DTI's success in providing advanced city-wide transit surveillance solutions and services. With 1,700 cameras already installed in buses and trains in Brisbane and a further 4,600 to be installed as part of this project, DTI is well positioned as a major provider of large scale transit surveillance solutions.

Richard Johnson, Managing Director of DTI said: “We are pleased that the Brisbane City Council selected DTI to significantly expand the number of DTI systems on their buses. The DTI solution is an important tool for providing safety and security in an efficient and beneficial manner to BCC operators and passengers”.
