July 9, 2015 - DTI to provide Wireless Communications to Bombardier for Trains in Adelaide

DTI Group Ltd (ASX: DTI) ("DTI”) is pleased to announce an order for wireless communications equipment from Bombardier for passenger trains in Adelaide. The contract includes the provision and installation of wireless communications equipment on 22 recently purchased trains.

The wireless communications equipment will enable DTI’s depot-based comprehensive back-end CCTV management system operated by Adelaide Metro to centralise and coordinate the train CCTV data. It also allows video evidence to be recovered from the trains through an on-line automated CCTV 'booking' system providing ongoing benefits through the easy management of equipment, video retrieval and video storage. Each train has already been equipped with DTI's latest Mobile Rail Digital Recorder (DRU3) with 8TB of storage and 20 high resolution colour IP cameras.

This contract further builds on DTI's supply to Bombardier over the past four years. Systems have also been supplied for over 1,000 buses and 20 trams to Adelaide by DTI in the past 9 years with the original systems still in operation and using the current generation of advanced transit software.

Richard Johnson, Managing Director of DTI, said: “We are pleased that Bombardier and the Adelaide customer continue to expand the functionality of DTI systems on their fleet. They are both important customers and we look forward to continuing to work with them.”
