September 19, 2008 - DTI Group signs Three Year Maintenance Agreement for Adelaide Buses

DTI Group Limited (DTI) has been awarded a three year equipment and software maintenance agreement for buses in Adelaide, South Australia.

Under the agreement, DTI will provide ongoing hardware and software maintenance for over 750 bus surveillance systems for the South Australian Government. The agreement also includes additional services such as help desk support, equipment monitoring, equipment reporting, and hardware maintenance. The help desk support will be ‘manned’ by experienced staff who have worked extensively in the bus-industry and have comprehensive experience in CCTV operations support.  DTI’s management of the diagnostic testing, monitoring, and maintenance of the surveillance infrastructure will maximise system availability and convenience to the operators.

The original supply project involved the installation of 750 systems following the contract award in June 2006.  Extensions to the Government's scope of works were negotiated directly between DTI and the Adelaide bus operators to include DTI's GPS based vehicle location system, wireless data communications infrastructure and DTI's fleet management software suite. DTI's wireless infrastructure and back-end CCTV management system centralises and coordinates the bus CCTV network and allows video evidence to be recovered from buses through an on-line automated CCTV 'booking' system providing significant benefits through the easy management of equipment, video retrieval and video storage.

Keith Hughes, General Manager - Australia said: “We are pleased that the South Australian Government selected DTI’s comprehensive range of outsourced services for their installed surveillance systems and we look forward to assisting them achieve the objectives of their safety and security initiatives”.
